Delete your Halcy account
You can delete your Halcy account and everything in it at any time. Deletion is permanent and can’t be undone.
Option 1: in the app
- Open Halcy and tap your profile picture on the home screen.
- Tap Privacy & security, then Delete account.
- Confirm with Delete everything.
Deletion starts immediately and you’ll be signed out.
Option 2: by email
If you can’t use the app, email hello@buntikki.com from the email address linked to your Halcy account and ask us to delete it. We’ll confirm the request and delete the account and all its data within 30 days.
If you used Sign in with Apple with “Hide My Email”, send the request from the Apple relay address, or tell us that relay address in your email, so we can find your account.
What gets deleted
- your account and profile (name, email address and profile-picture link),
- your @username and Halcy profile photo,
- every photo and thumbnail,
- all notes, entries and streaks,
- your tags, the photos you added to circles, and your invitation links,
- your notification tokens, and
- your sign-in record.
What may be kept, and for how long
- Backups: our infrastructure provider, Google, may keep residual copies in its backup and recovery systems for a limited period, currently described as up to about 180 days, before they are permanently erased. We don’t use or restore from those copies.
- Server logs: technical logs that record your account identifier are kept for up to 30 days and then deleted automatically.
- Other people’s copies: a moment someone accepted from your tag is their copy and stays in their calendar.
- Your username: held for 90 days so nobody else can take it.
- Reports: content reported for review is kept for up to 90 days.
Sign in with Apple
You can stop Halcy’s access to your Apple ID in your device settings under Apple ID → Sign-In & Security → Sign in with Apple. Doing this doesn’t delete your Halcy data, so please delete your account first.
